I didn't expect that it would feel so nice to replace all the mainstream apps with my own vibe coded ones.

So far I had:

• Weather app that shows good weather for cycling
• Blogging platform that does what I need. Used blot.im before that was great, but I wanted something closer to Tumblr from 2010s. Melancholia and nostalgia you know...
• Fitness analytics app. Abandoned because maybe it was not so emotionally involving for me. Instead I now pay for cyclinganalytics.com
• My own Pinboard app (see the image). I used to save everything on my local computer, but now I have a separate service and a browser extension.

Each took maybe a couple of hours. All deployed to the same 7 dollar VPS. No ads, no recommendation, no stories, no enshittinfication. This is the nicest experience with LLMs for me so far.

If at some point I'm able to replace all the ugly and stupid music apps with my own that simply plays music, then this AI bubble would be worth it
